It has been a nice and SUNNY day today! No more blasting cold wind even when the sun's out! I mean, for once, I get to wear my t-shirt and jeans - without wearing a scarf and jacket over!
Warm sunshine... Cool wind... Blue skies... Green grass... Blooming trees... Colorful flowers... What more could one possibly ask for? Hopefully the weather'll stay this way for the next few months cos I really miss the warmth of the sun...
Headed out for lunch at KFC with Andrew today. This is probably one of the first times I've had something other that my usual Wicked Zinger Meal *yummy* I simply love it here cos the Zinger Meal in Brunei tastes so different! Seriously! That's why I prefer going either to McD or even Jollibee back in Brunei rather than going to KFC although it's supposedly "finger-licking-good" all over the world since they're supposed to use the same recipes... And I simply love the gravy *drools*
After lunch, we headed down to HMV. Nowadays, I'm limiting myself to no more than 20 pounds per month on DVDs at HMV. This is because, as a result of severe boredom during Easter Break, I spent more than 100 pounds on DVDs alone in a mere two weeks! =S And to think that back home, I would've complained bout how expensive original DVDs are when they cost only bout BND$8 (is that the price for an original DVD?) Anyhoos, kindda going on a romance movie fest now (mostly Meg Ryan's) such as 'City of Angels', 'When Harry Met Sally', 'You've Got Mail', 'Music and Lyrics' and there's 'Troy' as well.
While on the topic of DVDs, if you love the classics then you should watch Cary Grant's 'An Affair To Remember' (they mention it in 'Sleepless in Seattle' which you should watch as well!) Then there's Audrey Hepburn's 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' and 'Roman Holiday' which I simply love =D
Okay, enough bout DVDs. I just realised this morning that there are a number of important events coming up this month!
11th May - Mother's Day
14th May - Anisah's and Yee May's Birthday
21st May - Andrew's Birthday (I Love You!)
22nd May - Sharon's Birthday
23rd May - Exam (Thank God it's just one paper but it's gonna be for 3 whole hours!)
29th May - Abi's Birthday (I'll get you your present when I get home!)
Apologies to those who are celebrating their birthdays as well this month but are not mentioned in the above list... Sorry... And Happy Birthday! =)
Oh, and we finally shopped for groceries just now. It's the first for this week (that's why we kindda ran out of food as I mentioned in one of the previous posts... hehe...) Now we're stocked up with food! But before that we, or should I say 'I', went shopping for cards and gifts as well... And I'm actually tempted to post the pictures of the cards here cos some of them are quite funny but I guess I'll just have to wait till after the recipients have received them.
And now, let the movie fest begin!
Adios!
p/s: As much as I love HMV, they can sometimes be a rip-off cos they're selling Frank Sinatra's box-set for 15 pounds while I bought it at Morrisons for only 5.99 pounds!
