My dad told me that the cost of fixing the car was over BND$200! I didn't know that it'll be that expensive to fix the car just cos there was something wrong with the horn... Tsk tsk tsk... Okay, perhaps there were other underlying problems with the car. But still!
F.Y.I, this was not the first time that my Dad had to send the Proton Gen-2 to the workshop. My dad told me that, for the past few years, he had to send the car to the workshop at least once a month because something had gone wrong with it. Apparently, it is VERY COMMON for customers to FREQUENTLY bring in their Proton cars for servicing and repair - at least that's what the people from the workshop told my dad.
So a warning to you all, if you wanna buy a Proton car, buy it at your own risk. The cost of purchasing a Proton may be cheap but I personally do not think it's worth it. I may as well have purchased a slightly more expensive car for its durability and reliability.
