Embarrassing Car Trouble

I got into work late today. No, it's not cos I got up late. It's because my mom and I had to go to my dad's workplace to switch cars. Why, you may ask?

Cos Proton Gen-2 sucks! Yes, it DOES. My mom was going to drive me to work this morning. The car was fine when she started the engine. However, once my mom drove the car out of the driveway, the car's horn started going off. At first it was just a short burst of honking but the further we drove, the more the car honked. And louder too. It was so embarrassing! This was especially so when we drove by other cars and the drivers just stared at us. Some cars even slowed down and tried to stop by the road side to let our car pass through.

Luckily, my dad's workplace is just a short distance from where we live. So when we arrived, we passed through security. Just as we were doing so, we passed by another car and our horn started honking really loudly. Hearing this, the man driving beside us rolled his window down with this "look" on his face. My mom was quick to roll down the window and explained to the man and the security officers that something was wrong with the car's horn and so he left (without "the look" this time).

As we parked the car at the parking area of my dad's workplace, the car's horn went crazy again. My mom had to switch off the car's engine, forgetting to roll the window back up. So she had to switch the engine back on in order for her to do so. No surprise, the window won't budge! By this time the car gave another honk and more security officers came towards us. And so my mom had to explain yet again that something was wrong with the horn.

My dad arrived at the parking area and tried to check out what was wrong with the car, with the help of one or two of the security officers who were there. My mom and I then drove away so that I could get to work, leaving the lousy car behind for my dad.

And so, I was late for work...
