Update

Wohoo! I'm leaving for Italy in less than 24 hours! =DDD Hehehe... Finally get to go to an European country. *I'm so excited I don't know what else to say bout the trip. Hehehe...*

Anyway, I've recently received my Diana F+ Starter Kit! I love it so so much =D Brought it out on Sunday along with my Fisheye 2 to the pier to take some pictures with Andrew. Will post up the pictures once I got them developed. My God, developing 120 format film is so fudging expensive! It costs about 8pounds without the CD and 15pounds!!! with the CD. Can you believe it? They actually charge 7pounds for it. Gosh...

Oh oh! And I went to Puffin Island on Saturday (was it Saturday? I don't really remember =P) It was a really nice trip to Beaumaris and really worth it. It was only 3pounds for the trip; they provided the coach and they boat out to Puffin Island. Took lotsa pictures of the puffins and the seals. They were so adorable. And the scenery there was amazing.

Anyway, I'll be back home in Brunei in less than a week's time. I'm sooo excited! Gonna go on holiday with my family to Malaysia and Singapore a few days after I get back. Yay! God, I miss the food and my bed, and of course, my family... Hehe... Hmm... I wonder if there are places to develop my 120 format films in Brunei. I'll be so sad if they don't =(

Hmm... I guess that's it for now. Gotta pack my bags. Tata!

Devastated over Deadline

The module choice form is due today and I've just handed it in after my 3pm class. I was shocked when the lecturer told me that the deadline's over cos I thought that we could submit it anytime today by 4pm. And I got really upset when he told me that I might not get the modules that I want. I was on the verge of tears.

Now I'm home in my room and have just checked the school's handbook in my inbox (after Fumi told me that there is an allocated time stated in it). And there it is! IN BOLD LETTERS! This is what is said:

Completed module choice forms must be handed in to the English office (Room 210, 2^nd Floor, New Arts Building) on Wednesday 22 April 2009.  In order to ease the pressure on the office please attend at the following times:

 

Surnames A-H between 9.30 and 10.30

 

Surnames I-P between 10.30 and 11.30

 

Surnames Q-Z between 11.30 and 12.30

 

If you have a class at your assigned time, please hand your form in between 2 and 3.

How can I be so ignorant as to not realise this part of the handbook?! And I know I only have myself to blame for this but I just wish that the lady in the office and the lecturer who was there could have reminded me of it when I was in the office this morning at around 10am...

Nothing else to say for now except tata as I'll be preparing for my 5pm seminar.

One More Week to Italy

It has been so long since I last blogged. Anyway, I just realised I've received my allowance from the government. Yay! More money to spend. One more week till Italy!

Blood Donation

I've been wanting to donate blood ever since I saw my Dad donated when I was 16. At that time I was still too young to donate and the doctor told me that I had to wait till I turn 18. The day I turned 18 came. I went to the hospital a few weeks after my birthday and asked if I could donate. The nurse said yes after I told him that I was 18. Moments later, he asked me to stand on the weighing scale and it read 45kg - I was not heavy enough to donate blood. I was then told that you have to be at least 18 years old and weigh as least 50kg in order to eligible for blood donation, providing you are healthy of course.

Three years later, which is now... I'm 21. I finally got my chance to do what I've always wanted to do - to donate blood. I'm finally old and heavy enough. I don't know why but I felt like laughing when I was typing the previous sentence. Lol. Anyway, yup - I donated blood! And it felt great; it made me feel great to be doing something that can help others. I would like to be a regular blood donor. My Dad and Andrew are regular blood donors and I'd really like to be one too.

The blood donation was held at the University's Powis Hall yesterday. Andrew texted me bout it and so I went to the blood drive at 2:30pm. I filled in a questionnaire about my health and travel history. I waited for bout 2 hours until my name was called. Luckily Janny was there otherwise I would've been bored to death. But then again, it was all worth it for a good cause. So, the nurse called my name and asked me some questions and at a lil past 4pm, I was lying down on the bed, waiting to be pricked. I was then pricked; blood flowed - very slowly! My blood flow is surprisingly slow, I do not know why. There was a guy who was before me, he finished a lot earlier than I did even though he was pricked only about a minute before me. Then there was this other guy who went a few minutes after me; he was done right after me. Their blood flowed really quickly as compared to mine. Could anyone tell me why some people have faster/slower blood flow? I find it rather interesting... Anyway, while I was donating, Janny took some pictures of me... See below.

Lomographic Fisheye No. 2 Copper Edition!

I think of all the Lomographic Fisheye No. 2 cameras that I've checked out so far, I love this copper edition one best! So I think I might actually purchase it online next month... Hehe XD

Exams are finally over - at least for me!! Yay! XD

But now another worry arises - my results. I don't know why, but for every paper I sat for, there's always one question that I find particularly difficult to answer. Now I just hope that I can at least get a third degree in all my papers. And I'll try my very best to make up for my grades in Semester 2. I promise!

Flood in Brunei

Yesterday, my brother sent me a link to this website, www.ranoadidas.com. Apparently, very heavy rain occurred on Tuesday night and most of Brunei was flooded. It was reportedly "one of the worst floods in Brunei's history" (from 'The Flood Aftermath' at the aforementioned website). Here are the photos of the flood and its aftermath:
